Trump’s reinstated Twitter account goes from millions of followers down to the thousands

What happened? We’re not quite sure yet. But what we do know is that shortly after the new Twitter owner, Elon Musk, reinstated the Twitter account of our former president Donald Trump, his followers quickly dropped from 2.1 million down to the thousands. While that number is growing by the minute, we don’t know what this means. While it is unlikely that this a result of Twitter users unfollowing the account, the sudden drop could be surprising to those who have just witnessed it live on Saturday, November 19th, 2022.

“It looks like his followers were strategically reset to eliminate the alleged “bots” to display the true number of people that follow Trump on Twitter today” said one Twitter follower.

Donald J Trump Twitter Account is Active Again
Trump's Twitter Followers were 2.1M (already a low number) when Elon Musk reinstated his account on November 19th, 2022.

While it’s not currently clear why the number of followers dropped, there’s one thing we know for sure: The number of followers on Trump’s reinstated Twitter account keeps growing and at this rate, it’s likely to surpass a million followers in days to come. Once the news breaks on the mainstream media, we’re expected to see this number accelerate.

Update 11/20/22:  Musk made a tweet stating that his technical team is working on the issue.
